In the spring of 1986, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Soviet Union explodes and a girl named Mimi arrives in a small village, filling 15-year-old Mariia’s life with light and joy for a fleeting moment. Twenty years later, Mariia returns to her childhood home and reminisces about the summer of her youth and the tragic autumn that followed. Returning to her first love’s summer, Mariia must let go of her guilt and learn to forgive others as well.
